From the supplier: In 1987 the California Legislature funded the Model Technology Schools (MTS) Project to discover how student attitude and achievement could be improved by integrating technology into the classroom and how giving schools substantial funding could speed up the integration process. Under MTS, the Sacramento City Unified School District will receive $500,000 annually over a five-year period to implement the integration of technology into one grammar, one middle, and one high school. Microsoft Works, a software package integrating a word processor with database, spreadsheet and communications programs, will be used in these schools. Students using Works will be tracked and compared to those in schools without the computers over the five-year timespan of the project.
