From the supplier: Federal Trade Commission Chmn Janet D. Steiger does not believe medical personnel or hospitals should be immune from federal antitrust legislation. This law helps protect the consumer and lower costs by creating competition for medical care providers. Steiger believes managed care and managed competition programs resulted from a need for competition within the medical care industry and that additional health care reforms will result from continued antitrust law enforcement.
