From the supplier: IBM's Academic Information Systems, the League for Innovation in the Community College and ten participating community college districts have founded a network of training centers called Instructional Technology Transfer Centers (ITTCs). The purpose of these centers is to provide software training, instructional seminars and curriculum development support for faculty members. Each center is based on donated IBM PS/2 70 microcomputers and a range of educational software products. Multimedia applications programming in particular is being emphasized by the Glendale Community College ITTC in Arizona. This facility is equipped with 24 PS/2 70s, IBM's Advanced Academic System and Asymetrix Corp's Toolbook program development software. The center is in the process of developing materials to help teachers use Toolbook to develop multimedia applications on a customized basis.
