From the supplier: The Treasurer's Office of Seattle, WA, has devised a training program for its cash handlers because the city annually loses $100,000 through inefficient cash management practices. Out of 1,000 cash handlers, only 45, who work at the treasurer's office, went through training programs designed for cashiers. Of the rest, more than 500 work on either a temporary or a part-time basis. Better Understanding of Cash Kontrol Systems (BUCKS) was specifically developed to assist the city in formulating a training program and standard rules for handling cash.
