From the supplier: The natural history of the Helmeted Manakin (Antilophia galeata) was studied in the gallery forest of the Corrego Capetinga creek in Brasilia Brazil to provide more information for its classification. Observations show that eggs and nests, nesting behavior, reproductive biology, molting pattern and territorial behavior of the Helmeted Manakin show similarities with other manakins, supporting its current taxonomic position in the family Pipridae regardless of its unique range, habitat, and mating system.
