Florida Agriculture Commissioner Bob Crawford imposed the ban on Jun 10, 1992, stating that bungee jumping creates a threat to public safety, health and welfare. Other states may adopt similar bans. K & K Insurance Group Inc, with 10% of its bungee business in Florida, supports improved regulatory laws, but opposes a total ban.
