From the supplier: A study on the role of networking in the success of new business ventures is presented. Entrepreneurs' networks are analyzed with the use of a cooperative and competitive interdependence framework. Eleven male and 23 female entrepreneurs are interviewed for the study. Results indicate that cooperative interaction between entrepreneurs and people involved in the implementation of the former's business plans helps entrepreneurs to develop new ideas that would ultimately redound to their company's benefit while competitive interaction leads to less successful implementation of business goals.
