From the supplier: Nutritional analysis laboratories have undertaken extensive preparations for the increase in business that will come when the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Department of Agriculture publishes rules for the implementation of the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act. The food industry will have to review and possibly revise hundreds of thousands of food product labels. Because of deadlines, it is best for food companies to put a food labeling team in place as soon as possible and make arrangements with labs for testing. A nutrition labeling team should consist of representatives from the marketing, research, quality assurance, legal, statistics, and nutrition departments.
