From the supplier: Chubb and Son Inc's David C. Beebe Jr told attendees at the American Institute of Marine Underwriters annual meeting that the US marine insurance industry has the opportunity to assume international leadership. Although US marine insurers have experienced major financial losses in the past two years, Beebe believes that the adoption of realistic, innovative and aggressive policies and quality products can reverse the down cycle. Recent world disasters have weakened the London market and given US insurers the opportunity to become internationally competitive.
