From the supplier: The private non-profit sector has yet to be acknowledged as a strong economic force, according to a new study conducted by the Johns Hopkins University Institute of Policy Studies. The study, which took four years to accomplish, gathered data on the non-profit sector in US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary and Japan. The study's salient points include the fact that 11.8 million workers were employed by the non-profit sectors in the seven countries, much higher than previously believed.
