From the supplier: Local television news has very little investigative reporting and because previous experiences seem to have made station owners wary of investing money in it. An investigative report that starts out with a fixed idea and ignores all evidence to the contrary is not really investigative. Such reporting will invite costly libel suits. Local news without this central element has very little to offer other than sports and weather reports.
