From the supplier: A study was conducted to examine the value of modern Chinese paintings as art investments. Results show that the stakes in Chinese paining investments were considerably high and comparable to the financial returns and media publicity generated by individual masterpieces. These high and unadjusted returns were conditioned by the prosperity of the late 1980s and the presence of a buoyant investment environment.
