They have started to neglect the standard work habits of creating priority checklists written in paper tablets, calling for committee meetings with management and attending quarterly or monthly board meetings. Likewise, in-depth discussions of priority work issues have been relegated to the background. With some CEOs finding other commitments such as acting as an outside board member or heading a charitable organization, they have failed to recognize and address the more important business trends that are shaping the international marketplace. CEOs need to review their practices and re-focus their efforts to re-learning the basic work habits that contribute to a more systematized method of management.
