From the supplier: NationsBank Pres and CEO Hugh McColl, Jr. believes that the banking industry will eventually reopen a campaign to offer insurance services, although the insurance industry has thoroughly defeated the bankers latest campaign efforts. McColl told attendees at the joint 1993 meeting of the National Assn of Casualty and Surety Executives and the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers that the banking and insurance industries have similar concerns about increased competition, capital use regulations and overcapacity.
