From the supplier: National Assn of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Pres Steven T. Foster, in remarks at the National Association of Independent Insurers convention, said that the NAIC must take a sabbatical from the issuing of new insurance industry solvency laws. The sabbatical is needed, Foster believes, to allow the industry to digest the new laws that the NAIC has formulated and to prevent the alienation of state legislatures that feel the NAIC is usurping their territory.
