From the supplier: Antimicrobial packaging techniques are capable of meeting the increasing demand for foods that receive minimal heat processing. These technologies include aseptic processing, vacuum packaging, low-dose radiation and other techniques. Additional techniques under development include incorporating organic acid into plastic films or coating the films with silver, which inhibits microbe growth. However, these processes are unlikely to come into broad use in the US because they are technically more difficult than treating the food itself.
