From the supplier: Hypercard is used to develop a real interactive multimedia presentation and illustrate non-linear design. Creativity can be an ecstatic process, but different people have varying strategies for focusing and utilizing that creativity. Two metaphors are developed that model two major classes of strategies for developing interactive multimedia presentations. One is illustrated by straight-line or road models while he other is represented by funnel or galaxy models. Both models involve seven activities: select lessons, describe specific outcomes, create sequence outline, list specific materials, explore techniques, develop storyboard and produce the actual presentation. The line/road models steps serially through the sequence. In the funnel/galaxy models, the last two steps are the same, but the other steps may be implemented in a more non-linear, more concurrent manner. The process of creating the example Hypercard presentation is described at length.
