From the supplier: A group of young males with an addictive attachment to alcohol is portrayed in Ernest Hemingway's novel 'The Sun Also Rises.' These young men seem to have constantly preoccupied with imbibing large amounts of alcohol as a means of escaping their life. Their behavior is marked by periods of alcoholic depression even when they seek out pleasures from having love affairs, going fishing and watching bullfights. Their lives seem to be a form of rebellion since they all lack the courage to change their situations.
