Fortunately, consumers are responding more favorably to manufacturers efforts' to promote recycling. For instance, 1993 statistics show that paper and paperboard reuse rose to 33.4%, recycling of glass containers increased to 35%, while the recycling of soft drink aluminum cans soared to 57.6%.
