From the supplier: Western Sahara remains annexed to Morocco despite on-going peace negotiations, which started in 1991. It has been suggested that a referendum should be held in the Western Sahara to determine its fate. However, considering the numerous instances when Morocco derailed the agreement to grant autonomy to the region and the failure of Polisario's calls for enforcement of the agreement, a fair referendum seems unlikely. The Polisario can no longer depend on Algeria, since it also beset by its own internal conflict.
