From the supplier: A new department called the Dept. of Economic, Industry and Trade Affairs is proposed to enhance the US government's ability to advance its economic interests worldwide and implement trade policies which encourage competitiveness. The existing US Trade Representative and the economic and trade functions of the Commerce Dept. would fall under this new department. The Export-Import Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Corp., the Trade and Development Agency and the export-assistance program of the Small Business Administration would also be incorporated under this new department.
