From the supplier: The U.S. Export-Import Bank did not grant support to US corporations hoping for contracts for China's Three Gorges Dam. Caterpillar Inc., Rotec Inc. and Voith Hydro Inc. hoped for letters of intent for loan guarantees from the Ex-Im Bank to enable them to submit formal bids to sell China construction equipment for the dam. However, the companies failed to properly comply with the bank's environmental guidelines.
