From the supplier: CNA CEO Dennis Chookaszian, speaking at panel discussion at the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters convention, spoke of the need for insurance agents to create linkages with banks. Chookaszian does not believe the insurance industry should outright oppose the bank marketing of insurance, citing the fact that 90% of the 10,000 largest commercial banks already are in the business. The insurance industry should insist, rather, that banks' insurance operations are state-regulated to keep a level playing field between the two industries.
