From the supplier: A general profit maximization model that integrates technical and allocative inefficiencies is developed. The relationship between production and profit technical efficiencies are derived for a flexible production function. It is also shown that when the profit function is translog, existing models of technical and allocative inefficiencies considers only allocative inefficiency yield while excluding technical inefficiency.
