From the supplier: Anthropologist Kenneth E. Read died of cancer on November 13, 1995, in Seattle, WA. Read was born on December 29, 1917, in Sidney, Australia, and grew up in the outback. He took his undergraduate degree at the University of Sidney, graduating with Second Class Honors in 1939. He served in the Royal Australian Army during World War II and returned to the University of Sidney after the War and finished his M.A. in Anthropology. This was later followed by a PhD in Anthropology at the University of London. Read is best known for his book 'The High Valley,' published in 1965.
