From the supplier: The Argentine subsidiary of the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has been accused of paying bribes to secure contracts. IBM has been accused of paying a bribe of $249 million to install computers at all the branches of Argentina's largest commercial bank, Banco de la Nacion. IBM also faces an investigation regarding the payment of $513 million by Argentine's tax agency to IBM to improve the agency's computer system. IBM also faces charges of violating the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act that bans US companies from accepting bribes aboard.
