From the supplier: A study was made to learn how collaborators working across distance use e-mail and Internet Relay Chart (IRC) to facilitate collaboration. Results show that decision-making is quicker with the use of e-mail than IRC. When IRC was slow, e-mail was used to make work easier and quicker.
