From the supplier: The Eckerd Corp. upgraded its electronic article surveillance sensors and installed the system in all its stores nationwide. The drug retailer has also tagged almost all of its items with radio-frequency tags and has decided to educate its staff on loss prevention. New sensor units are in the process of being installed on either side of each store's entrance and exit doors. These sensor units trigger an alarm when they detect active tags which have not been cancelled at the sales counter.
