From the supplier: The Alexandria Sanitation Authority, VA, received the International Personnel Management Assn. Agency Award for Excellence for several of its personnel programs. One of these is the new rank-and-file and supervisor orientation program which has an individualized approach for its major components. The agency has also set up a computer interface with the Virginia Employment Commission which made filling up vacant positions fast and efficient. Other areas that the Authority has efficiently addressed include employee training, recruitment and hiring, and safety and security measures.
