From the supplier: Research designed to create a chloroprene-rubber/EPM blend that is suitable for power transmission belts is described. Ethyelene/methacrylate/acrylic acid terpolymer (E-MA-AA) was used as a compatibilizer for a blend containing 70% chloroprene rubber (CR) and 30% EPM. In both phases, the CR/EPM/E-MA-AA blend exhibited carbon black distribution better than that exhibited by a simple CR/EPM blend.
