From the supplier: A financial forecasting model proved to be a good teaching/learning tool for the council in Mercer Island, WA, enabling them to examine the effects of their decisions and see the results of their own assumptions about revenues and expenditures. Using standard spreadsheet software, the model was built using 10 years of line-item data from the general ledger, comprising 350 revenue lines and 1,000 expenditure lines. Predictions of changes expected in the key categories of revenues and expenditures can be entered in the forecast worksheet, one of six grouped in one file.
