From the supplier: Forty one economists from regional colleges and universities nationwide were surveyed on certain issues regarding the national and regional economy in Oct. 1996. Results indicate that 65.9% believe that the next recession would not occur before 1998, however 43.9% believe that a recession's effect on the Mid-South would be relatively smaller compared to the effect on the rest of the country while 43.9% believe that a recession's impact on the region will be relatively equal than the effect on the rest of the country.
