From the supplier: 1975 Nobel prize for Literature recipient Eugenio Montale seemed to defy the passage of time with his 'Diario postumo: 66 poesie e altre,' a collection of poems written between 1969 and 1979 that was published posthumously. Most of the poems dwell on the Italian poet's everyday struggle with time and his wish to prolong life. Every poem in the collection is dedicated to A. Cima, the 'quintessential Muse' in Montale's earlier works whom he also refers to as his inspirer and interlocutress.
