From the supplier: A National Assn of Insurance Commissioners working group is considering adding a provision that would make brokers responsible for nonadmitted insurers' unpaid claims to a model law. There is universal agreement within the insurance industry that brokers should be held liable for such claims, but only if they have acted fraudulently. Fortunately, regulators addressing this issue have indicated that they will limit brokers' responsibility for unpaid claims.
