From the supplier: The effects of demographic, psychosocial and environmental factors on physical activity were studied in a group of fifth-grade African American students. Low activity correlated to sex, watching of television and self-efficacy in seeking support to activity. No relationship was found between physical activity and race and social beliefs. The influence of family and friends significantly affected physical activity. Based on the findings, sex and the time for television watching were the most significant correlates to physical activity.
