From the supplier: Young workers and those in entry-level jobs have been the most seriously affected by the dramatic decline in hourly wages. This is because, unlike their older counterparts, they are vulnerable to market changes. Statistics show that a young male high school graduate's wage dropped to 28.1% between 1973 and 1995, while the wages of men with the same education and 31 to 35 years of experience dropped to 14.8%. On the other hand, the wage of a young female high school graduate fell 19% over the same period, while their older counterparts with 31 to 35 years of experience dropped only by 1.1%.
