From the supplier: The StreetCity projects developed in Toronto, Ontario, during the late 1980s have attempted to develop long-term processes for developing alternative housing for homeless people. The StreetCity structure that opened in 1994 was a renovated warehouse allowing people of both genders to come and go without restraint and without prohibitions on drug and alcohol use. StreetCity and its successor, Strachan House, offer fruitful directions for addressing homelessness.
