From the supplier: The Church of South India celebrated its 50th anniversary in Madras on Sep 27, 1998 using the theme 'Unite, Liberate, Celebrate.' Delegates from the church's 21 dioceses and representatives from sister churches around the world attended the event. The festivities were preceded by a series of activities, including retreats, theological conference and rallies. Notable personalities such as Michael H. Taylor, K. Rajaratnam and Ninan Koshy delivered messages. Participants also listened to a recorded message from Lesslie Newbigin, the only remaining original bishop of the church.
