From the supplier: The performance of gender in Christianity and men's studies generates an inclusiveness not realized in previous interpretations of faith. By acknowledging the different forms desire takes, Christianity can move beyond the confines of patriarchal heterosexuality and envelop new social and religious paradigms. This process also alleviates the gnosticism fostered by unisex or androgynous theory.
