From the supplier: The Engineering Design and Communication (EDC) is a course designed for the writing requirements of engineering students which was born from a partnership between the Writing Program and the Engineering School at Northwestern University. It is an interdisciplinary, project- and team-based course focusing on design and communication taught in teams in two quarters. Students were found to write less in an interdisciplinary course such as EDC than in traditional writing course. Nevertheless, EDC students learn powerful lessons on process, revision and audience.
