From the supplier: The 1999 Canadian Hardware and Home Improvement Show, held in Toronto, Ontario, on Feb 7-9, has given home improvement retailers a reason for optimism. The event, for one, will be combined with the Canadian Home Centre Show beginning in 2000 and will change its name to the Canadian Hardware and Building Materials Show. The merger is the result of an agreement between retailers and the lumber and building industry in Ontario. Many exhibitors reported strong buying activity while building product participation increased significantly. In addition, a record number of new products were displayed at the Showcase of Innovation portion of the event.
