From the supplier: Michael Grossman's health investment model, which elucidates on the allocations between both leisure and income, and health and nonhealth goods, was extended to include a number of factors. The new model combines labor-leisure selection with the individual's production of both health and nonhealth goods, and differentiates between medical expenses and healthcare investment. This offers a framework for studying the consequences of changes in incomes and wages, alternative insurance arrangements, travel time, waiting times, and schooling.
