From the supplier: Miami International Airport (MIA) and other airports as well as airline firms are attempting to develop effective solutions to manage the problem of an increasing number of passengers who become verbally or physically violent or abusive on board aircraft. MIA decided the tackle the issue by adopting a creative approach. It enlisted the cooperation of the Airport Law Enforcement Council which is chaired by representatives from the FAA and FBI to secure federal government authorization to deputize select security officers as federal marshals.
