Progressing with Arithmetic 4 Teacher's Manual Pt 1 Chapters 1-8 (Mathematics for Christian Living Series)

By grade 4, students should have mastered the basic addition and subtraction facts and terminology. They should know how to carry in addition and how to borrow in subtraction. They should know the multiplication and division facts through the 9's, although they may not have complete mastery of them. Also, Grade 4 students should have been introduced to multiplication and division by one-digit numbers. This grade 4 course continues to review the basic facts and teaches the 10's, 11's and 12's multiplication and division facts. It reviews carrying in multiplication, borrowing in subtraction, and multiplying and dividing by one-digit numbers. Other important areas of study are the introduction of two-digit multipliers, the long division process, and increased work with fractions and measures.
