First Impressions: An Intermediate Piano Method - Volume 5

This method was written to fill the need of students who have completed piano methods and are ready to study the classics. There is repertoire from four musical periods with study guides based on theoretical principles for teacher and student. The book introduces pieces by famous composers with study guides designed to enable the student to understand the elements of music theory in each piece. As students use the study guides to understand the pieces, their growing awareness of the "grammar of music" will lay a firm foundation for developing good musical performances. The repertoire is arranged by musical period in their original form.
