Few people read them. But, if you have not already studied one of the five Auto-Mechanics courses, this preface will help you use this book to best advantage. First of all, you may find it a little hard to get back into the habit of studying. It is easy to get rusty mentally if you give up study for a while. Probably the main difficulty is in getting used to the kind of reading you have to do. Obviously, a textbook in auto mechanics is not a story magazine. You've got to be sure you really understand what you are reading. Even though you understand all the words, you may have to read the text two or three times to get the idea. But the more you study, the easier it is to study. Of course, it will be a big help to you if others in your outfit are taking this course. Talking things over with them will clear up a lot of difficulties. You may also be able to find someone in your outfit who knows auto mechanics and will gladly give you a lift. There is one......"
