Worldwide TFT-LCD 3Q05-2Q07 Forecast: Price Tracking

This IDC study reviews TFT-LCD price tracking and forecasts pricing for 3Q05–2Q07. IDC tracks LCD panel prices by major applications and display sizes. IDC expects that the average TFT-LCD panel price will show a downward trend in 1H06. Due to weakened demand from OEMs that are adjusting their inventories, desktop LCD monitor panels have led this trend. "We expect, though, that notebook panels will show more resilience during the forecast period," said Clark Tseng, IDC research manager, Global TFT-LCD Research.
