This memoir - written by John Gunther - is of his son Johnny Gunther who died of a brain tumor at age seventeen.Of it Walter Duranty wrote in the New York Herald Tribune: "To read it is to grasp the meaning of man's power to defy Death's hurt, to be filled with confidence and emptied of despair.
