Hildegarde Withers Makes the Scene

HIldegarde Withers is alive and well and living on the shores of the Pacific. Now retired, she pretends to enjoy relaxation and gardening. Actually the old fire horse is bored to death. Therefore, she welcomes the S.O.S. from her old pal, Oscar Piper, Captain of the NYPD. Seems the daughter of a VIP is missing. Her father has gone to the Commissioner with his problem, and the Commissioner has dumped it in Oscar's lap. They suspect the girl has gone to the West Coast, and it seems only natural to turn to Hildegarde for help.
