Description

This digital document is a journal article from Chemical Engineering Journal, published by Elsevier in 2005. The article is delivered in HTML format and is available in your Amazon.com Media Library immediately after purchase. You can view it with any web browser.

Description:
A low Reynolds number k-@? computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model has been used for the description of flow pattern near the wall. An excellent agreement has been shown between the predicted and experimental hold-up and velocity profiles. The CFD model has been extended for the prediction of heat transfer for two-phase gas-liquid flows in bubble columns. A comparison has been presented between the predicted and the experimental data.
